The Rolfing® 10-session series is a dynamic approach to encouraging human potential and realigning the body’s structure within gravity. Over the course of 10 one-hour sessions, the entire body is addressed with the goals of improved joint function, increased fluidity of movement, and softening of connective tissues. The series begins with the breath, moves to the feet and lower legs, then addresses the lateral line, medial line, front of the spine, back of the spine, the head, neck, and thoracic outlet, and finishes with consideration of contralateral movement and rotation in the body. The series was designed by Ida Rolf, a brilliant biochemist who studied osteopathy and yoga and recognized that many problems in the human being could be resolved by working slowly and carefully with connective tissue to improve the relationship of the body within the gravitational field.
Adam holds both a BFA and MFA in photography as well as degrees from the Esalen Institute and the Rolf Institute. He was born and raised in Iowa. Adam has lived in Chicago, NYC, and spent 10 years in Alaska before moving to Miami in 2018. In Alaska, he owned and operated an organic vegetable farm and enjoyed fishing for red salmon every summer. He is an avid tennis player, yoga practitioner, and loves to read, cook and travel.
