Hypnosis for Children
Children can often be spotted drawing, watching a favorite cartoon on television, listening to a story or engulfed in one game or another. They are so focused on their activity that they literally don’t hear others calling out to them. This is not a sign of impoliteness. Children are very suggestionable and can easily enter the natural trance state, in which their immediate surroundings become obliterated by whatever it is they are focusing on.
It’s not just children who experience this. According to recent neurological findings, the part of the brain which is in charge with analysis, logic and reasoning can stay actively focused on a task for 90 to 120 minutes. After this time elapses, the brain literally performs a quick ‘refresh’. It switches off into a ‘daydream’, which is actually the same natural trance state described earlier. During this state, the creative side of the brain takes over and generates images, thoughts and ‘dreams’. Clinical hypnosis therapy sessions recreate this very state and activate the creative mind, in order to implement long-term changes in your behavior.
Since it is easier for children to access the natural trance state, we decided to take this advantage and make it work in your child’s favor. If you want to alleviate anxiety issues in your child, or simply help them become more imaginative, relaxed, confident and creative, hypnotherapy for children will definitely help. It has also been known to boost focus, learning abilities and attention spans.
